Azlea Noel Logan

We we're scheduled to be at the hospital at 6 am. Neither one of us could sleep, so we were up since 2 am that morning. We got to the hospital around 6am and they got me in my room and did all the registration things. They got my IV and PIT started around 8:00am, then the Dr. Read came in and broke my water at 8:30am. Since I was already dialated at a 3, they said I could have my epidural anytime I was ready. About 10:30, I was ready for my epidural. After they got it put in, I was in heaven. I had alot of visitors during labor, mainly family. The funny thing is, Bradley's sister was scheduled to have her historectomy done that day and we both have the same doctor. The Dr. Read was saying Azlea was either coming out before 1:30 or she would have to wait until after he was done doing her surgery. At 1:15pm, they slowed my PIT down and he left to go to surgery. They hardly checked me and about ten after four, he comes back to check me and says let's have a baby. They got me set up to push and after pushing twice, she was here. The Dr. Read was about to cut her embilical cord, but we all stopped him to let Bradley do it. I didn't have to have an episiotomy or anything. Evidently, I had been ready to have her since about 2:15, but since I couldn't feel anything, it helped me not have her early. (The Dr. Read really wanted to deliver her) So Azlea Noel's stats are: born at 4:24pm, 7lbs 4ounces, 19 1/2 inches long and she's gorgeous.
